ABCs Singing Vowel Sounds 

This course covers the long and short vowel sounds, as well as the two vowel sounds of 'y', long 'e' and a long 'i'. We specifically focus on words that start with a vowel with the exception of ‘y’ which ends with a 'y'. This is meant to be a beginner course for the vowel sounds. For a deeper exploration of cvc words, short vowel sounding words and the vowel blends, you can subscribe to our Short Vowel or Vowel Blend courses.

The video lessons feature five catchy songs that make learning both the long and short vowel sounds fun and interactive. The vowel sounds are crucial to learning how to read and sound out words. These learning videos  show how the long and short vowels are pronounced and then the sounds are muted in the second half of the lesson for practice and to see how well your child learned their sounds. Also included is a video lesson of the two ways to say the letter Y along with a worksheet to identify the y sound that matches each word. Lastly, we included  downloadable songs to practice in the car, at home or in the classroom.
